Children attending the Downside Up Foundation took part in the Saudi Arabia Day celebration

You are here

September 23 is the National Day of Saudi Arabia. The Downside Up Foundation has long had friendly relations with the Saudi School at the Saudi Embassy in Moscow: students and teachers of the school often come to the foundation's classes as volunteers.
Traditionally, in the kingdom itself, this Day is celebrated with folk dances, songs and traditional festivals. Roads and buildings are decorated with Saudi flags, white and green balloons, and people wear national costumes.
The school at the Embassy of Saudi Arabia in Moscow invited children attending the foundation to celebrate the national holiday together with their students. Children drew and painted people in national costumes, sights of the kingdom and a map of the country. As a symbol of friendship between our countries, the children depicted matryoshka dolls, birches and the flag of Russia in their works.
